History
Located in Toronto, Ultimate Racing began
in 1991 as a performance shop catering to imports and sport compacts.
It’s owner Johnson Lii, has been the sole owner since its conception.
When he started years ago, the Canadian import/sport compact market
was in its infancy. If you were tinkering with imports during this
time in Toronto, you would have known, or at least heard of Johnson’s
work at Ultimate.
Johnson had already gained credibility on the streets for building
his customers some very fast cars. He began to notice an influx of
customers and decided to elevate his technical prowess and reputation
by building an import drag car. In 1997, he created Canada’s
first and only naturally aspirated import drag car that ran a 12.9@109
mph, subsequently becoming the fastest all-motor import in Canada
at the time.
In the 2000 East Coast Battle of the Imports Ultimate Racing introduced
its all-new naturally aspirated Honda CRX . The new racecar ran a
blistering 11.2 seconds @123 mph. It was the Ultimate team's first
American debut and we became the fastest true unibody all-motor import
on the North American East Coast. Not only were we the fastest all-motor
import in Canada, but we subsequently became the third fastest naturally
aspirated import in the world at the time!

Ultimate Racing is on the forefront
of the import/sport compact scene. With over 16 years experience
as automotive import performance specialists, we are devoted
to providing top notch service and quality parts to the demanding
enthusiast. Thorough research and development goes into every
race car that we build. We then take this research and create
products that have been proven in real world street applications
as on the race track and drag strip. Every part that we offer
has been installed and used on our very own test vehicles before
we offer them for sale to the public.
Our project cars section is a testament to our quality workmanship
that yields impressive results.
Who
are we?
Canada and USA
Johnson Lii - Owner
Johnson has owned and operated Ultimate Racing since 1991.
His technical skills, background in racing, and focus on perfection
have elevated Ultimate Racing from the small Toronto-based
performance shop to the world renown manufacturing company
it is today.
Darryl Ou - Manager
Generally known as "the voice" of Ultimate Racing,
Darryl's expertise in automotive performance, and tuning has been
a large contributing factor to the company's growth in the
past decade.
Arnel Padua - Head of Manufacturing
Arnel, a licensed automotive technician, has years of mechanical and fabrication
work under his belt. As the head of our manufacturing
department, Arnel brings a vast array of knowledge to the team and a focus
on details of quality workmanship in everything he touches.
Wayne Chen - Technician
Wayne has over 20 years experience as a licensed automotive technician.
His racing experience includes competing in the Canada Challenge
Cup Endurance Series.
Lionel Chichioco - Chief Technical Consultant
Lionel has over 15 years experience in drag racing. He provides
his well renown experience in engine tuning and race car development
to the team.
Sal Demasi - Technical Consultant
Connie Zhang - Administration

Puerto Rico
Julio "Papo" Rodriguez - Head Technician, Technical
Consultant
Papo has been the brains and wrench behind some of the fastest
street/strip cars in Puerto Rico for several years. We are
proud to have him as head of Ultimate Racing Puerto Rico.
Gadiel Gonzalez - Performance Tuner
Gadiel, a renown tuner in Puerto Rico, and now all of North
America is one of the newest members of the Ultimate Racing
Team.
